Side Effects Of Consuming Caffeine?
I’m a student, I’ve been accustomed to consuming instant coffee for about 3 years. Are there any side effects on the body, especially for women? And if I want to stop the habit, what alternative drink can I choose?
Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Coffee consumption can have a good impact on health, but it can also be the other way around. The caffeine content in coffee can help sharpen memory and cognitive abilities. In addition, caffeine is also good for preventing the growth of cancer cells and protecting the health of the heart and blood vessels because of its antioxidant effects.
However, if you consume coffee in excess, then some of the following possible health problems can happen to you, including:
Causes the heart to beat faster, even irregularly Increases the risk of heart attack and high cholesterol in the blood Triggers bone loss Promotes increased stomach acid Increases risk of irritable bowel syndrome Increases risk of obesity and diabetes --- especially when you consume instant coffee which is usually mixed with a lot of sugar, etc. There is no direct relationship between coffee consumption and fertility in women. However, you should avoid everything in excess, including consuming coffee. Various literature recommends that in healthy adults, caffeine consumption (including that contained in coffee, tea, soda) is limited to a maximum of 1 cup per day.
Compared to coffee, if you feel thirsty, it will be much better if you consume water. In addition to reducing the risk of possible diseases as mentioned above, adequate water consumption also plays a role in the detoxification process so that it helps neutralize toxins that accumulate in the body.
That's our explanation. For more details, please consult directly with a nutritionist.
I hope this helps.
