Side Effects Of Lasik Surgery?
I want to ask, the plan is that I want Lasik surgery. My age is 19 years old. Can it be done in Lasik? What are the effects of Lasik after surgery? And what minus I have will disappear permanently.
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Basically LASIK surgery can be performed on people aged at least 18 years as long as it meets other requirements as well (for example minus the eye does not exceed 12.00 D, plus the eye does not exceed 5.00 D, astigmatism does not exceed 6.0 D, there are no specific systemic diseases that may interfere final results of operations, etc.).
After doing LASIK you can experience side effects such as:
temporary visual impairment such as the appearance of glare, hello, or double vision
visual distortion or astigmatism due to impaired post LASIK flap attachment
undercorrection or overcorrection which will usually require repeated LASIK therapy
permanent visual impairment
In most people, the results of lasik surgery can last for decades. However, along with the onset of aging, refractive disorders can recur. In about 1-2% of people who perform LASIK when their vision is not yet completely stable (the magnitude of the refraction is still changing), LASIK surgery may need to be repeated after 5-10 years.
Discuss directly with your eye doctor to find out more detailed procedures.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
