Skin Irritation Under The Lips?
Morning, I want to ask. I was experiencing skin irritation near the left side lip. My skin was red and I had burns (like a hole), then it started to swell a little. I remember again that this irritation occurred after I used the liptint and accidentally blew it on the skin near my lips and then I rubbed it off until it was gone (the rub was a bit strong because the liptint was really hard to get rid of). How is the solution? I feel less and sick when I open my mouth. Thank you🙏
What you experience can be caused by:
Traumatic allergic contact dermatitis Perioral dermatitis
Trauma to your lips can be caused by the act of rubbing, where rubbing too hard can cause damage to the layers of the skin which can cause irritation. It can also increase the risk of infection. Allergic contact dermatitis is a skin reaction that can occur as a result of an allergy to a substance, which could be caused by the ingredients of your lipstick. Perioral dermatitis is a condition where the skin around the mouth is strained which can also cause what you are experiencing.
If what you experienced was due to trauma, the wound will disappear on its own within a few days as long as it is cared for and kept clean. Avoid using drugs outside the doctor's advice.
However, if you are not sure whether it was caused by trauma or something else, it's a good idea to see a doctor, because it takes a more detailed history and a direct examination by a doctor. Without it, the doctor cannot determine what you are experiencing. Later, if you need therapy, the doctor will provide it according to the doctor's findings.
I hope this helps.
