Skin Surface That Appears Reddish After Hitting?
Hello, this morning I played the trampoline and I happened to jump over the board but when it fell into the foam, my right shoulder hit the edge of the foam board. But the board is covered with a little foam so it is not directly a board. Now my shoulder hurts but only at one point and marked red. I can still do normal activities but if the red part is touched it hurts a lot. How to handle it huh? So far I just used wine and had a massage. thanks.
Good morning, thanks for the question
The surface of the skin that appears reddish after hitting or called a bruise or contusions arise due to blunt trauma to the skin. The trauma caused the rupture of small blood vessels. Blood will be trapped under the surface of the skin, causing bruising.
Symptoms include red, blue, purple, or yellowish staining on the surface of the skin. In addition there can also be symptoms of pain in the area. These symptoms will decrease along with the process of tissue healing.
For handling at home can do the following:
1. Ice packs covered with a clean cloth for about 15 minutes and can be repeated every hour if needed.
2. Raise your leg higher than your chest to get blood flowing to the heart.
3. Take over-the-counter pain relievers such as paracetamol. Avoid using aspirin or ibuprofen to prevent bleeding from continuing.
Use adequate protective equipment during a risky exercise to prevent serious injury.
That's all, hope you can help
