, 2 weeks ago I used 20% tca peel for my hands. Until now, there is my skin that hasn’t peeled off u0026amp; so it dries up, the color peels off and my skin is discolored. some also got dry so my skin was dry white. trs there are also some who leave black marks because at that time my skin was blistered, maybe because of most of it. what should i do? thanks
Hello, Thank you for the question.
Peeling is a procedure done to remove dead skin cells. In general, this peeling action is done on the face area. Apart from exfoliating skin cells, peeling can also stimulate the growth of new cells. The fluids used for peels range from TCA, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, and others. Peels that use low concentrations of acidic fluids can be done at home, but peels that use high concentrations of acidic liquids like the ones you are using should be done by a doctor. The use of this liquid can cause redness or blackening of the skin, the skin feels sore, and the skin peels. Peeling with TCA usually exfoliates the skin in 7-10 days. The use of inappropriate peels can cause inflammation of the skin, causing darker skin color (also known as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation).
If in the past two weeks there is a part of the skin that has not peeled off and is still black, you should immediately consult a dermatologist for further treatment. Doctors need to check the condition of your skin before determining the next treatment. In the future, avoid using peeling fluid without doctor's recommendation.
