Small Bumps Appear Near The Penis?
Good evening I want to ask, I have a lump on the penis, but the lump is small and I don’t feel itchy or anything.
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Previously I want to confirm in advance whether there are only 1 lump or many? Are these lumps really long-standing or have just appeared? Where is the specific location of the lump? Is there a history of unsafe sexual intercourse? Lumps on the penis can be caused by various things, some of which are:
Pearly penile papules, which are small, skin-colored protrusions that appear around the neck of the penis head
Genital warts, caused by infection with Human papilloma virus (HPV)
Molluscum contagiosum, which is an infection of the Molluscum virus in the skin that causes the appearance of small bumps on the surface of the skin, usually the color of the skin with a small hollow at the top of the lump and does not cause any symptoms (no itching or pain)
Fordyce spots, i.e. enlargement of oil glands under the skin which manifests in the appearance of small lumps that are asymptomatic skin
To find out clearly the cause of the lump in your penis, you should check with a genital dermatologist so you can do a direct skin examination. Not all lumps in the penis require certain management. Sometimes the lump is harmless and does not require any therapy (as in pearly penile papules or fordice spots), it can disappear on its own (such as Molluscum contagiosum), but sometimes it also requires removal therapy (as in genital warts).
If you have a history of unsafe sexual intercourse, you should immediately consult a doctor so that you can be examined for sexually transmitted diseases. Make sure you always keep your penis clean and have a healthy sexual relationship.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
