Small Bumps Like Warts On The Neck Behind The Ears
Hello doc, good night. I want to ask. It’s been 2 days there is a small reddish lump with a soft texture on the neck just behind my sister’s ear, well, my brother accidentally scratched the lump and was bleeding quite a lot and did not want to stop even though he had been detained using bandages or hands still not want to stop and continue to bleed fresh so my mom takes onions and sticks to the bleeding and then the bleeding stops. I want to ask what kind of small lump doc on the neck of my brother and may be given advice on how to make the wound dry and not bleed much more. Thank you for the previous dock.
Hello Adelina, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Lumps in the neck can be caused by a variety of possibilities including:
Lymphadenitis, the lump feels painful, red, and is usually accompanied by fever due to infection
Lymphadenopathy, the lump is not painful
Lipoma, a lump that contains fat tissue
Abscesses, boils filled with pus
Thyroid / thyroid enlargement
Malignancy, and so on
To find out the exact cause of the various possibilities that exist of course the examination must be done. Examination includes physical examination and additional checks needed such as blood tests, ultrasound, radiological examination, biopsy, and so on. So the treatment plan will be directed.
For now what can be done is:
Consumption of healthy and nutritious foods, especially high protein to accelerate the healing process of wounds such as eggs, chicken, tofu, or tempeh
Drink enough water
Do not press on the part that has a lump, if it's already broken and bleeding Stop bleeding by using clean gauze or a clean cloth by pressing the source of bleeding
If a wound has occurred, keep the area clean
With complaints of a ruptured lump and bleeding it is advisable to immediately see a doctor for consultation.
So, hopefully useful.
