Hi Princess,

Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.

Runny nose, stuffy nose, and frequent and repeated sneezing, especially in the morning and evening, are most likely a sign of allergic rhinitis. This condition occurs due to a hypersensitivity reaction that stimulates cells in the mucous lining of the respiratory tract (especially the nose) to produce more mucus. As a result, the nose will become runny. When the environment is cold, the mucus thickens, causing a stuffy nose. And, as the body's normal effort to remove the blockage in the nasal cavity, then a sneeze reflex arises.

Allergic rhinitis is closely related to genetic factors (heredity). Usually, patients have a close family history of allergic tendencies as well, not necessarily the same as allergic rhinitis, but can also be bronchial asthma or atopic dermatitis. When the body is exposed to allergens, such as cold, dust mites, flower pollen, or animal dander, the complaints will become more and more frequent as long as the trigger of the allergy has not been avoided.

In addition, it is also possible that the various complaints you are currently experiencing are caused by:

Non-allergic rhinitis, generally associated with viral or bacterial infection
Sinusitis (inflammation of the sinus cavities)
Nasal polyps (benign tumors of the nasal mucosa)
Nasal septal deviation
Nasal cancer, and so on

If the complaint has been going on for a long time (more than 2 weeks), we recommend that you go directly to an ENT specialist, yes.

For now, avoid overexposure to allergens (as mentioned above) first. You can use a mask and always keep the environment where you live so that it is always clean. Change sheets and curtains regularly. Wash your hands regularly. Drink more and eat warm temperatures. Wear a jacket when in a cold environment. And don't forget to eat healthy foods that are rich in vitamin C.

I hope this helps.
