Snoring Sound From The Baby’s Nose?
Hello, my niece has been running up and down for almost 5 days and has been blood-checked at the hospital, the results are all normal, and there are colds as well, there is a snoring sound from the nose when the breath has had 3 days in dust but still the same, how is that?
Thank you for the question.
Up and down fever, colds, and snoring sounds in infants are likely to trigger a lot, for example rhinitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, and so on. These conditions can occur due to infections (including recent Corona virus infections), allergies, irritation, exposure to dry air, anatomical disorders around the nasal cavity (such as cleft, nasal septum deviation), even benign or malignant tumors certain (such as polyps, cancer).
If complaints have not improved even though treatment has been given according to doctor's advice, it means that the treatment given is not optimal. In addition to giving your baby medicine, we recommend that you also take the following steps to improve your niece's condition:
Give her ASI often
If the age is more than 6 months, add the milk with high nutritious MPASI, easy to swallow, soupy, not cold
Keep the environment around the baby so that the air is clean and good circulation
Also bathe the baby with clean and diligent washing their hands
Don't use the air conditioner or the fan is too cold near the baby
Use a humidifier when possible
Give the baby paracetamol medication and warm compresses to his neck when he has a fever
Referring to the current condition, where the COVID-19 outbreak is sweeping our country, do not rush to see a baby to a doctor, unless urgent. If the complaint still does not improve with the above efforts, or if it appears congested, vomiting, fatigue, and other danger signs, you can check your nephew again to the doctor or pediatrician to be treated further according to his condition.
