Is there no faster way to heal ?? Because it really disturbs my activities. Thank you in advance doctor ..
Hello, thank you for asking with HealthReplies.com.
The complaint that you feel is one of the complications of herpes sufferers, namely post herpetic neuralgia. That is a condition where pain is still felt even though the lesions on the skin have disappeared (settled long after the skin rash has disappeared). This pain is usually limited to the area of the skin where the rash appears.
Symptoms of post-herpetic neuralgia include: Pain such as burning, stabbing, or pain in the skin that persists 3 months or more after the herpes rash disappears, sensitivity to light touch, and itching of the skin. These complaints will disappear slowly over time, although it takes a long time.
If a complaint like this occurs, you should consult a doctor to be given appropriate therapy to help resolve your complaint. Generally, doctors will give medicines in the form of pain medications, anti-seizure drugs, and so forth. This therapy is to reduce the pain that is felt, not really to cure. There is no specific treatment to speed up healing.
Thank you, hope that helps ..
