Solution To Overcome Thickened Skin Around The Eyelids?
I already went to the SPK doctor, I asked for medicine, but the doctor said: there is no cure for warts / ticks, is it true? if so, what is the name of the medicine? anyone suggest using betadine is it safe? Thanks for the doctor’s answer.
Lumps or thickening of the skin around the eyelids can arise due to several conditions such as being caused by a viral infection such as warts, xanthelasma or plaque due to fat clots, skin tags, skin inflammation or dermatitis, moles or nevus and other causes.
Warts themselves are skin infections that arise due to the human papilloma virus which attacks the skin layer and produces keratin or protein which hardens and forms a new texture on the skin known as warts. Wart handling itself requires extra measures if the location is difficult enough. In other areas of the skin, warts can be handled such as by using special drops or a procedure to freeze the skin area or called cryotherapy. If the wart is on the eyelid, it should be done directly by a dermatologist for proper treatment, where if it is disturbing it needs to be removed by surgery or using a cauter known as electrosurgery.
The use of povidone iodine as recommended on your own is not effective for treating warts, especially when it is close to the eyes, so it can pose a risk of irritation to the eyes if its use gets into the eyes.
