Sore Throat And Back Pain Radiating To The Neck?
good night…before I had a fever, flu and cough then checked into the health center and was given medicine then recovered in 4 days, 2 weeks later I had a fever again and the next day my throat felt hard to swallow and finally my throat really hurt. what i want to ask is is my sore throat due to strep throat or because there is a flu virus that is still left? how to treat it doctor? thank you in advance…please answer my question
Viruses that cause colds and coughs can actually cause inflammation of the throat. In addition, sore throat can be caused by irritating factors, such as food/drinks with preservatives, artificial sweeteners, and the like, then cigarettes or liquor. A typical complaint that will arise from sore throat is pain/difficulty swallowing. To confirm the diagnosis, a direct examination of the throat was performed (swollen and reddened throat/tonsils were found).
Initial treatment of sore throat does not have to be directly with drugs. Try to drink more warm water and gargle with a solution of lozenges or antiseptics. If you have a fever and feel uncomfortable, you can add over-the-counter medications such as paracetamol. Take care of your nutritional intake, avoid foods/drinks that contain preservatives, sweeteners, and artificial flavours. Generally with these tips sore throat can disappear in 2-3 days. If it persists, then immediately see a doctor for further treatment.
