Spotting In The Enlarged Tonsils Accompanied By Bleeding?
Good evening, I want to ask. This morning I checked my initial condition, I was shocked to see that there was food stuck to the tonsils on my left side which turned out to find that my tonsils had holes, even when I pressed the hole they were bleeding a little. Even though I have a history of tonsillitis that is quite frequent, I am not currently experiencing it. Even my throat doesn’t hurt at all, I also breathe and swallow food well without any pain. And also I don’t have a fever. If I may know about what happened to my tonsils huh? Are my tonsils in severe condition and need surgery?
Enlarged tonsils that persist is one of the symptoms of chronic tonsillitis (prolonged inflammation of the tonsils). In the enlarged tonsils can form tonsil folds (kripta tonsil), these folds are generally the place where bacteria microorganisms, food scraps, dead skin cells, mucus or saliva gather. A collection of substances in kripta is also known as detritus, detritus can harden and cause tonsilloliths. Inflamed tonsils will be more prone to injury, especially if there are tonsil stones. Symptoms caused by chronic tonsillits can be lighter than the acute phase.
Tonsils are one of the organs that play a role in the immune system and generally shrink and disappear adults who have good immune. If tonsils are often inflamed / cause complaints in people over 12 years or very large, the treatment that is generally recommended by doctors is through surgical procedures.
However, you should ensure your tonsils with an ENT (ear nose and throat) specialist in order to get treatment according to the condition because in addition to chronic tonsillitis, your complaints can also be caused by tonsillar stones or tonsillary abscesses.
