Stepped On By A Mouse?
… this morning I was stepped on by a mouse with bare feet … Without footwear … then I washed it … could it cause worms? is it same?
Hello! Thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Rat droppings can be harmful to the body. Rat droppings can release viruses which, if inhaled, can cause deadly disease. If food is contaminated with rat droppings, a person can develop typhoid fever and various other dangerous diseases. However, rat droppings do not cause worms. There are different types of worm infections. Usually transmission can be in the form of penetrating larvae through the skin and ingestion of worm eggs. These larvae and eggs can often be found on the ground. Therefore, you should wear footwear every time you leave the house or set your feet on the ground. If exposed to soil or animal waste, wash your feet thoroughly with soap. After that, wash your hands using soap. Wash and peel the fruit before eating. Wash and boil the vegetables before eating. Avoid eating raw or undercooked foods. Always clean the house to avoid animals that are harmful to health, such as rats and cockroaches.
That's my explanation. I hope this helps.
