Stomach Ache After Giving Birth By Cesarean Section?
why does my wife feel sick with stomachache after surgery ??
Thank you for the question.
Mild abdominal pain after cesarean section is generally not a dangerous condition. This complaint can occur because of excessive strain on the surgical scar which is replaced by scar tissue so that it is less elastic in nature. Often, abdominal pain like this will improve with rest and warm compresses around the diseased stomach without the need for special treatment.
You need to be aware of abdominal pain that your wife is experiencing is dangerous if:
Stomach ache appears with great intensity, is unbearable, and does not improve with regular pain medication
Stomach aches appear accompanied by signs of inflammation in the surgical scar, for example redness, swelling, watering, suppurating, or unpleasant odor
Stomach aches appear accompanied by fever, vomiting, bowel obstruction, urination disorders, abnormal bleeding from the vagina, and so on
Abdominal pain like this may not appear purely related to cesarean section, but occurs due to secondary infection in the former operation, or also other medical conditions, such as dyspepsia, digestive infections, intestinal inflammation, food poisoning, food allergies or malabsorption, hernias, muscle aches, urinary tract infections or stones, pelvic inflammation, nerve nerves, and so on. Go directly to your wife to see a doctor or a specialist in internal medicine so that the condition can be handled properly according to the cause. If you feel that the condition is related to reproductive disorders, your doctor may direct your wife to an obstetrician for further treatment.
Hope this helps ...
