Stomach Ache At 10 Weeks Gestation.?
I want to ask, I’m a woman of 30, already has 2 daughters, age 10 u0026amp; 5 years I am currently pregnant with a third child, 10 weeks’ gestation. It’s been 2 days I feel pain in the lower abdomen, and the waist also feels pain. If the stomach is pressed gently with a finger, it hurts. But I did not experience spots, or bleeding. Why is that? Because first pregnancy 1 u0026amp; 2nd, I have never experienced anything like this. Dangerous for my fetus?
Good afternoon, thanks for the question
Abdominal pain in early pregnancy can be a normal condition or suspected conditions that threaten the fetus such as the threat of miscarriage. Here are the possible causes:
1. Normal pain. Abdominal pain without bleeding from the birth canal is generally not a sign of a miscarriage. Short abdominal pain can occur early in pregnancy because of the condition of the uterus that adjusts to the development of the fetus. This pain occurs brief and mild. If the pain is persistent then you should consult an obstetrician.
2. Miscarriage. In the state of miscarriage abdominal pain is followed by spotting or bleeding from the birth canal. Miscarriages occur at a gestational age of less than 20 weeks, but the chances are greater in the first trimester.
3. Ectopic pregnancy. Pregnancy outside the uterus where tubal discharge is most commonly referred to as ectopic pregnancy is characterized by severe abdominal pain. Unfortunately in most of these cases the fetus cannot be sustained because it develops not in a normal location. This condition can also endanger the mother if the fallopian tubes rupture, requiring emergency action.
A little anxiety in early pregnancy is very natural. But if you have doubts you should consult with your obstetrician for an examination.
That's all, hope you can help
