Stomach Cramps Due To Sports
Good evening, doc, I want to ask. I work daily in front of a computer. Rarely sports even almost never. I also don’t like water. Last Sunday the 5th of April I was exercising my stomach by following the movements on YouTube. My mistake is I didn’t warm up at all. And maybe the sport is too heavy for me who are just beginners and rarely exercise. As a result, Sunday night. My body feels bad. My stomach feels stiff. On Monday morning I could not move my body. Even if the forced pain is extraordinary in the abdomen. Like the feeling of cramps that are often experienced by your feet. Muscle as interested. To talk, walk, and laugh is very painful. On Monday afternoon I accidentally laughed out loud. And cramps directly attacked my stomach, even breathing was difficult, my feet were cold immediately, my hands and lips were tingling in pain. I used to get tired after sports but this time it was different. It feels much more painful. Even today cramps often come suddenly if I make a wrong move or make a sudden move. Is that normal dock? Can I massage or is it better to see a doctor? Or this will heal itself with a certain period of time?
Hello Ethics, Thank you for the question.
Symptoms of muscle cramps after certain sports movements, such as your story, can be caused by muscle tension due to sudden and wrong movements. Tension / muscle injury can occur if you do not warm up the muscles. In addition, if you do excessive exercise there will be a buildup of lactic acid in the muscles which can cause complaints of pain in the muscles. This condition is generally a mild condition, not dangerous, and can slowly improve within 1 week.
You can do independent handling at home by:
warm compresses if symptoms of abdominal cramps appear
avoid uncomfortable posture
avoid exercising without warming up and when exercising recognize your limits, do not immediately force strenuous exercise if you are not used to it
no massage on the abdominal area
If the symptoms of this pain do not improve at all more than 1 week or if there are symptoms of continued vomiting and diarrhea, then you should immediately consult with your nearest doctor so that direct examination can be done so that the cause can be ascertained and appropriate treatment can be given. If symptoms appear is a severe stomachache that makes it difficult to move at all, please you immediately visit the nearest hospital emergency room so that it can be treated immediately.
Hopefully this information helps you.
