Stress To Want To Hurt Yourself?
In the afternoon, I felt I was an introvert so when I encounter problems I often think too deeply. I don’t have many friends either because I don’t like to hang out with many people, but it makes it hard for me to have a place to share my thoughts. One time I was really in a bad situation, I experienced a lot of pressure and had problems with other people. I often feel excessively sad and makes me compelled to hurt myself. By hurting myself I felt relieved, I became calmer. But I think it makes something good to do. What should I do? thank you
Good evening, thanks for the question
Self-injury is a dangerous thing that may be caused by psychological problems due to many factors, one of which is the difficulty of conveying feelings that are propped up to others. If you have a tendency or even have hurt yourself, you should tell the condition to people who you really trust, at least to your parents or siblings. If the complaint does not improve, you should immediately consult a psychiatric specialist for further interviews.
Psychological disorders with salient self-injury complaints are often caused by threshold personality disorders. The accompanying symptoms include:
1. Impulsive behavior
2. Injuring yourself to the idea of suicide
3. Mood disorders
4. When angry, it will be out of control
5. Paranoid behavior
In these conditions sufferers generally feel that the pain in the heart can be moved to the physical so that they will feel more relieved after hurting themselves. The threshold personality disorder needs to be treated with drugs or psychotherapy.
That's all, hope you can help
