Hi Ardiansyah118,

Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.

Many people use vaping because it is considered to have no risk of health problems compared to cigarettes. It seems that this view needs to be straightened out, because vaping is not without danger. Many studies show that vaping, especially in the long term, has the risk of triggering disorders and inflammation of the respiratory tract, such as lung infections, asthma, and lung cancer. The risk of stroke and heart disease also increases due to vaping.

A stuffy and runny nose as you are experiencing can be a sign of inflammation in the respiratory tract, which may also be exacerbated by the habit of vaping. This inflammation can occur not only in the sinus cavity (sinusitis), but also in the nasal cavity (rhinitis), throat (pharyngitis), bronchi (bronchitis), and so on. It is also possible that the complaints you experience arise due to allergies, viral or bacterial infections, nasal polyps, nasal septal deviation, to malignancies in the area around the nose (eg nasopharyngeal carcinoma).

Our advice, given that complaints have been going on for years, you don't let them drag on without treatment. Check directly with an ENT specialist so that the right treatment can be done according to your condition. If needed, the doctor can carry out further tests, such as X-rays, laboratory tests, CT scans, or also rhinoscopy examinations to evaluate the structure of the nasal cavity more deeply.

Currently, in addition to stopping vaping, we recommend that you also take the following steps:

Avoid exposure to cold temperatures, dust mites, pollution, animal dander, and pollen which can trigger excessive nasal mucus production. Use a mask when working in dirty and polluted environments. Avoid rubbing your nose too often. Drink plenty of warm water and eat warm soup. Eat plenty of food. fruit that is rich in vitamin C content. Regularly exercise and eat nutritious food to maintain body resistance. Hope this helps..
