Sudden Chest Tightness Accompanied By A Dark Head And Blurred Vision?
Hello, I want to ask. Yesterday when I was away and my position was standing, suddenly my chest felt tight. I think it’s normal because I’ve had this a few times when I’m outside. R n r nBut it didn’t take long for my head to feel heavy. Then my vision gradually darkened completely. Then I asked my sister to help. But my brother’s voice became faint. Then I embraced my sister and I was brought to a chair. Over time my views returned to u0026amp; I’m already breaking out in a cold sweat. r n r nThe process of the vision getting darker is quite a long time, maybe about 2 minutes. r n r nIs that why? It was the first time I experienced such outside the home. At home, I often experience dark eyesight and almost collapse when I just wake up from lying down.
Hello Tania, thank you for your question
Based on the information you shared above, it appears that you are experiencing syncope or fainting. Most of these conditions occur in people younger than 40 years. Before losing consciousness, the sufferer can experience symptoms of cold sweats, nausea, staggering to dizziness, blurred vision, or ringing in the ears. Mild syncope usually occurs over a short period of time, from seconds to minutes.
Here are some of the factors or conditions that cause syncope:
orthostatic hypotension - drop in blood pressure due to changes in position too rapidly
dehydration (lack of fluids)
hypoglycemia (blood sugar level is too low)
anemia (lack of red blood cells)
Given that the complaints you experience are recurring, it would be better to have your health condition checked directly to a doctor. Through a history interview, physical examination, and additional tests if needed, such as blood tests and chest x-rays, your doctor will confirm the underlying cause as well as determine the best treatment for your health condition.
While waiting for your doctor's treatment, you should:
do changes in body position slowly, especially in a lying to sitting or standing position
eat regularly with foods rich in nutrients, especially vegetables and fruits
exercise regularly 3-5 times per week
adequate body fluid needs by consuming 2-3 liters of water per day
sleep and get enough rest
Hopefully this is useful
