Sudden Tingling In The Hand?
,rnrnI am a 26 year old male, I want to ask why sometimes the little finger and ring finger of my left hand suddenly feel numb. I often feel this when riding a motorcycle.rnI forget whether this symptom also appears when I am not riding a motorcycle because I rarely experience these symptoms.rnWhat I want to ask is what are these symptoms, are these symptoms of disease or whether I’m just cold or not is a serious matter.rnrnFor the attention and kindness that has been given, I thank you.rnrnGreetings.
tingling or numbness is a numb-like sensation that is usually felt at the ends of the body, although in some cases, tingling can also be felt in parts of the body that have not yet reached the ends. Medically this condition is called paresthesias. There are several factors that can cause paresthesias in the fingertips as in your case, namely:
narrowing of the nerve tunnel of the fingers as in the case of carpal tunnel syndrome which eventually pinches the existing nerve
fingers bent for a long time so that blood intake is inhibited
Raynaud's phenomenon in which the blood supply to the finger becomes blocked due to narrowing of the blood vessels leading to that location in response to exposure to cold or stress
poisoning by substances such as mercury and arsenic
lack of vitamins B1, B6, B12
symptoms of diabetes
neurological diseases such as stroke, tumor, multiple sclerosis
Numbness is a common condition. Usually this will improve in 1-2 days. However, if the complaints are so significant and do not improve, we recommend that you immediately consult a doctor. Here we attach an article about tingling. May be useful.
