Good afternoon, I have a female sister who has lymph nodes, initially in 2014 my sister had had lymph node surgery on her legs, was gone, but in 2016 the lymph nodes appeared again, and performed another operation, which used to be had grown again early 2018 but we got advice for leech therapy, thank God after leech therapy was gone, and by the end of 2018 this lymph node appeared again in the legs, but this time it felt more painful than usual, what action should be better that i do? Continue to see a doctor, or return to leech therapy again? Thank you, please reply 😀
Hi, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com
Diseases that can occur associated with enlargement of lymph glands, including:
1. Limphadenitis, which is inflammation of the lymph nodes, caused by infection with tuberculosis mycobacteria and other bacteria.
2. Limphoma, a benign lymph node tumor.
3. Malignant lymphoma, which is a malignant lymph node tumor.
4. Metastasis of cancer cells from other organs.
I suggest you should bring your relatives to consult with an oncologist. The doctor will conduct a direct physical examination and supporting examination. The supporting investigation that is important to do is a fine needle biopsy or excision biopsy if necessary.
Repeated enlargement of lymph nodes must be found out the cause in order to minimize the possibility of recurrence later. In the meantime, you should not press on the swollen glands so as not to aggravate the condition.
Thus hopefully useful.
