Suture Wound

Hello doc .. I just got a stitch on my front leg near the shin .. How long will it take to heal huh?
1 Answer:
Hi Yeti,
The length of a stitch can be removed depending on the condition of the wound and the location of the wound. If the stitched tissue is not completely linked, the stitches cannot be opened, and if the wound is infected and festering, the doctor may decide to open the stitches and clean the wound again and repeat the suturing procedure if necessary. Apart from the complications that affect the healing of the sewing wound, in general the sewing wound can be removed at:
Face: 4-7 days
Chest, back, stomach or legs 7-14 days
Arms and hands 5-10 days
10-14 days joints
Control the wound as directed by the doctor or if complaints arise during the healing process so that the doctor can intervene as needed. You should also discuss your questions with the doctor who treats you directly in order to get appropriate information about your condition.
