Swelling Due To Sprains.?
Aslm .. I want to ask 2 years ago I sprained my hand .. Now it’s still a little bit swollen but not painful even though I lift heavy bbn … Is this dangerous?
Good afternoon Hanifa, thank you for the question on HealthReplies.com.
To find out if this swelling is dangerous or not, it is highly recommended that you first check with your doctor because the swelling might indeed be the residual swelling that occurred due to an injury a few years ago or caused by something else such as inflammation of the joints of the hand, an injury that has not handled and several other possibilities.
Your doctor may ask you to do some additional tests to help determine the current state of your hands, such as hand X-rays, MRI hands and other possible tests depending on the doctor's judgment based on your current condition.
For the time being, if pain or limitations are not felt when you do a variety of activities when using the injured hand, in general you can still use that hand to do activities, but still avoid using it in heavy activities until it is stated safe for use doing heavy activities by the doctor who examined you. Try not to get injured again on the hand so as not to aggravate your complaint.
I hope this helps.
