Swelling Like A Mosquito Bite Enlarges And Becomes A Watery Wound?
Hello doctor, I had a bump like a mosquito in the area above my folded stomach because I was fat. At first I thought it was just a swollen because of a normal mosquito bite and it would disappear over time. However, because the swelling was itchy, I scratched it which resulted in the swelling getting bigger and watery. Because it itches, I keep scratching it. Which causes the bumps to become sores and it continues to runny. I rub the wasp oil in the hope that it will improve and reduce the itching. But the wound never dried up, instead another swelling appeared with the same symptoms .What should I do?
Hello Marshall, Thanks for the question.
Water-filled skin sores on the body can be caused by:
dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) bacterial infection, herpes zoster yeast infection. This skin sore can be accompanied by redness, itching, or burning sensation. If these skin sores still persist or even get wider, you should immediately consult a doctor for further examination. By examining you the doctor will know the cause of this complaint and can provide the right treatment for your condition.
You can do the following suggestions:
if the water bursts, clean it with a clean damp cloth. Avoid scratching the itchy area. Use salicylic powder or calamine lotion to relieve itching. Hopefully this information is helpful.
