Swelling Of The Thigh Due To An Accident?
Night. I used to have an accident and my thighs were shaved and my bruises used to just treat it normally because it was blue so after I was sick I just let it go. but after a few years the shaved thighs became swollen but on the side of the thighs not the groin. what is that? Is it severe or not?
Hello Kiki Rizkhy,
Swelling in the thigh can be caused by many things. This can be related to the accident you once experienced, but can also not be related at all. Swelling in the thighs can be caused by the following abnormalities:
Sarcoma is a soft tissue cancer. Appears as a swelling or lump, is not painful initially, and enlarges rapidly.
Abscess or cellulitis, is inflammation of the skin tissue and under the skin. Complaints that arise are reddish swelling in the affected area, pain, fever, and at one time may rupture and discharge pus.
and much more
Difficult to determine whether the lump / swelling is dangerous or not if there is no direct examination by a doctor. You should consult further with a doctor. The doctor will check for swelling directly on your thighs, whether there is pain, changes in skin color, how consistency when pressed, the limit of swelling / bumps, and so on. Investigations such as X-rays, MRI may be needed to determine the cause of the swelling. Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
