Swelling On The Face Due To Burns?
! I want to ask. I had a burn on my face, but not all of my faces were affected … only my right face and my forehead were not affected. It’s been a long time since I got a burn. It’s been 7/8 years, but my face still looks swollen. Especially at my age, it looks increasingly swollen. Can it be overcome or not? Explanation please.
Good afternoon, thanks for the question to HealthReplies.com.
Swelling in the face affected by burns 7/8 years ago.
Swelling in this part of the face has several possible causes, among which there is an inflammation process in the skin due to infection due to tissue under the skin, or it can be caused by hitting hard objects that cause bruising.
For the burn scars themselves are they still wet or dry? Are you covered with new skin or not? If not, it will be easier for bacteria or other organisms to enter and attack the burn scar. However, if it is completely closed, there may be other factors outside the burn scar that cause swelling. To find out more and more complete about the causes and treatment, you should conduct an examination to the nearest plastic surgeon or dermatologist. Burn healing lasts for about 6 months to 1 year, so if it's been 7/8 years, it's probably not the burn that caused the swelling on your face.
Things you can do at home:
- compress the swollen face with plain water
-Reduce facial activities such as chewing, you can use the side of chewing in a place opposite to the swelling
- Protect yourself from exposure to environments that are too hot, or dusty.
Thus, hopefully useful :)
