Swollen Eyelids And Reddened Eyes?
Afternoon, I want to ask that my upper eyelids are swollen and my eyes sometimes get red. Why is that so irritating? Is not it? Initially … when the night was tinged, the eyes were sore, and on the morning when I woke up, I saw that the mirror had swollen eyes. It’s been 3 days, and the handling should be done if it was irritated. Thank you
Thank you for the question.
Swelling of the eyelids, accompanied by reddened and sore eyes, may be caused by blepharitis, or inflammation of the eyelids. This condition can occur due to a variety of triggers, for example bacterial infections, blockages or malfunctioning of the tissues in the eyelids, allergies, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, drug eruptions, and so on. Not only swollen, red, and sore, blepharitis can also cause watery eyes, excessive secretions, glare, itching, pain, and difficulty seeing.
Aside from blepharitis, your complaint may also arise from hordeolum (prescription), preseptal cellulitis, orbital cellulitis, contact dermatitis, insect bites, keratitis, uveitis, endophthalmitis, panophthalmitis, injuries around the eyes, and so on. In order to get the best treatment, you can check yourself directly to a doctor or ophthalmologist. Some drugs, ointments, or other treatments your doctor may give you.
In the meantime, you can cold compress your swollen and sore eyelids first. Avoid holding the eye area and surroundings with dirty hands. Also avoid using excessive cosmetics especially contact lenses that are dirty on your eyes. If necessary, you can use glasses to protect the eyes from the entry of foreign objects, such as dust, dry air, fleas, and so on. In order to make the eyes feel more comfortable, you can first put artificial tears into your eyes as an initial treatment.
Hope this helps ...
