Swollen Lips And Watery Bumps After Drinking Rosella Tea?
Hello, I am tresna aged 25 years. Yesterday I first drank rosella tea. I just drank 1/2 cup suddenly my lip was swollen one side. As if there was a lump of water. At first I thought because the mosquito bites grew bigger and itchy over time. . r nSeveral when I didn’t drink the roselle tea and 2 hours later the swelling disappeared. But my fingers were red and swollen. Am I allergic to rosella tea?
Good afternoon, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. Allergy is a disease in which the sufferer's immune overreacts to a substance called an allergen. Allergens can be anything without exception. It can be dust, animal hair, cold air, insect bites, all kinds of medicine, milk, nuts, crab, cheese, eggs, fish, and of course it does not rule out rosella flower tea.
Until now it is still not known why someone is allergic to these allergens. There is also no drug that can get rid of allergies from a person's body. What is clear, when one part of the allergen enters the body, the body will produce various symptoms, which can include red spots, itching, swollen lips, sneezing, runny nose, diarrhea, to shortness of breath.
Even so, it is also possible that there is a condition that occurs at the same time or close to the time you drink rosella tea, for example, you are really allergic, but more to insect bites, or due to make-up, bacterial infection and so on. The way to find out is just to try to drink rosella tea again, with a smaller amount of course, then see if there is a reaction. If the complaint appears again, it means that you are indeed allergic to rosella tea.
But if it doesn't appear, or the complaint doesn't get better, don't hesitate to check with your general practitioner or dermatologist for further tests. Meanwhile, if you feel itching, don't scratch it, but apply a cold compress. So, hopefully it answers your question.
