Hello I want to ask, I want to take a virginity test, but I am very afraid I am not a virgin anymore, because when I was in high school I fell and my vagina hit a block of wood. When I went to check the bathroom, my vagina was swollen and a little blood was coming out. Then I was very scared whether I was a virgin ?? I beg you to answer.

Hello. Thank you for the question submitted to HealthReplies.com. We can understand the concern you feel.

The hymen (hymen) is a thin membrane located near the opening of the female genitalia. There are a number of possibilities that can cause tearing of the hymen, including sexual abuse, accidents, trauma, masturbation, use of tampons, and sports activities such as cycling, gymnastics, and horse riding. Hymenal tearing can occur without pain or bleeding.

A torn hymen does not necessarily indicate that women are not virgins. Even people who have had sex may have a hymen that remains intact because the hymen is elastic. The concept used to define virginity is a history of sexual intercourse.

To find out the state of the hymen, a physical examination is needed directly by the doctor. We advise you to check directly with your doctor or obstetrician and gynecologist so that you can evaluate your hymen's condition.
Thus information from us. Hopefully always healthy. May be useful.
