Symptoms And Treatment Of Pulmonary Tuberculosis?
Hello r nI am 29 years old, mother is nursing a 3 month baby. I was released for hospitalization due to cheek abscess. But diabetes and pulmonary tuberculosis were detected. It has been treated for pulmonary tuberculosis for about 2 weeks. But I’m not sure about the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis. Is there any suggestion for me in establishing the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis who have been taking medication for 2 weeks? So that I’m sure I’m really a lung tuber or not. What procedure should I go through?
Hello, thanks for the question
If you are still unsure about your lung TB diagnosis, you can go back to the doctor who is treating you, to be asked to explain what made the doctor take the decision to diagnose you as a pulmonary TB sufferer. Tell also you have been taking TB drugs for 2 weeks to your doctor.
In general, to determine the diagnosis of TB requires complaints, physical examination results, lung X-ray examination and supporting sputum examination conducted before the start of treatment, but these four things are not absolutely can be diagnosed on certain considerations by your doctor about your current condition checked. For your situation, where you have been taking TB drugs for 2 weeks, a sputum examination is usually done at the fourth week of the treatment period.
At this time, it is recommended that you continue your treatment until further advice from your doctor.
I hope this helps.
