Symptoms Of High Fever Accompanied By Postpartum Abdominal Pain?
I want to ask. I just gave birth 17 days ago already 2 days I was shivering, headache, leg pain, lower abdomen pain to the back of the back … shivering was only night. is that normal during the puerperium?
Good afternoon, thanks for the question
Symptoms of high fever accompanied by lower abdominal pain after childbirth is not a normal condition experienced by women after childbirth. The condition needs to be suspected due to infection of the uterine lining which can occur up to 6 weeks after giving birth. Symptoms that can be felt include fever, chills, abdominal pain, urinating pain, pain during intercourse, and more or smelling puerperal bleeding.
Some risk factors that increase the risk of post partum endometritis include:
1. Old labor
2. Premature rupture of membranes
3. Examination in often before labor
4. History of genital infection
To be able to confirm the clinical suspicion of post partum endometritis, clinical evaluation by an obstetrician is needed in this case. Treatment involves providing adequate antibiotics for a period of time. If the infection is not treated optimally, there is a risk of causing a serious infection that spreads to the systemic blood circulation. Therefore, do not hesitate to check the current condition with your doctor to get adequate treatment.
That's all, hope you can help.
