Tailbone Pain When Sitting?
I am 10 weeks pregnant, why is it that every time I sit on the chair, my tailbone hurts but it doesn’t really hurt, the pain is only fleeting
During pregnancy, a woman will experience changes in her body. One of them is the stomach that is getting bigger. This enlarged stomach is caused by both the uterus and the fetus that continue to grow so that it will also press on the structures around the uterus. The emphasis on the structure around the uterus will cause pain in the groin, vagina, abdomen, waist, and tailbone. Apart from the above natural causes of pain in the tailbone can also be caused by pinched nerves, trauma, inflammation of the pelvis and so on.
In order to be sure that the complaint is a special medical condition or not, we recommend that you do a pregnancy control check with your obstetrician so that a direct physical examination can be done and can be given proper treatment.
In the meantime, some things you can do to help predict complaints include:
Cold compress on the coccyx, after 3 days replaced with a warm compress
Sit with a comfortable back or on a soft base
Just drink water
Gently massage on the affected area
