Take Ulcer Medicine For Patients With Swollen Heart?
Hello, I want to ask, can a swollen heart sufferer take ulcer drugs such as ranitidine or omeprazole. The thing is I like to feel nauseated, nauseous and bloated. Thank you for your answer.
Good evening, thanks for the question
Actually the use of gastric drugs such as ranitide or omeprazole in patients with a history of heart failure or heart swelling is classified as controversial. There are several studies which state that the use of a type of omeprazole can worsen the condition. But other studies say it can reduce mortality compared to patients who did not receive similar therapies. However, the use of this drug is not routinely given, but only recommended in cases where there is an obvious stomach upset. We recommend that you consult with the treating doctor to get adequate information in accordance with the patient's current condition. To prevent bloating from gaining weight you should avoid consuming coffee or tea, soft drinks, onions, dairy products and their derivatives, alcohol, and so on.
That's all, hope you can help. Wassalam.
