TB Examination After Completing Treatment?
, my friend has finished tuberculosis treatment, if you want to check whether he has completely recovered, check where and what section? thxx
TB treatment is divided into specific regimens based on the type of TB a person has. Generally the treatment lasts between 6-12 months. Treatment is divided into 2 stages, namely the intensive phase in the first 2 months, then the next stage for the next month to complete. At the end of each stage a radiological examination and other TB tests are performed according to the available facilities. Examination is intended to determine whether TB treatment is responded well by the body or not. After completing the advanced stage, you should consult with the treating doctor. The doctor will direct the examination what should be done. If he goes to a lung doctor, then please return to the lung doctor. If he goes for treatment at the puskesmas, then he returns to the puskesmas to be examined. If indeed he is already TB negative, then treatment does not need to be continued. If TB is still positive, the possibility of treatment will be continued.
Hopefully this answer is helpful. Regards.
