Test Pack And Ultrasound Results Are Different.?
I experienced late menstruation I tested with a 4x test pack, the results were positive but the checkup with the fetus doctor was not visible on ultrasound. My last period was March 13, 2019
Hello Risa Wulan,
Test pack is a pregnancy checkup tool that can be done independently. The test pack detects an increase in the human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) hormone. This hormone is produced by the placenta after implantation in the uterus. Apart from pregnancy this hormone can also be produced by certain tumors / cancers. The results of the test pack can also be positive in the condition of wine pregnancy or if you use the wrong test pack.
Ultrasound is an examination utilizing sound waves to obtain imaging of tissues or organs in the body. Womb ultrasound can be used to detect pregnancy and the development of pregnancy. This check is very dependent on the expertise of the operator who uses the tool. If the gestational age is still too small, the fetus has not yet appeared in the uterus, which appears usually only in the form of a gestational sac.
If possible, after 1 week later you can try to re-examine the USG with an obstetrician. If you do not also get signs of pregnancy on ultrasound, you can consult further about the delay of menstruation. Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
