While my period is usually in the 15s, please answer whether I am pregnant, or not, thanks
Hello, Bonytha Nurheni. Thank you for the question submitted to HealthReplies.com. We can understand the concern you feel.
Pregnancy is achieved when male sperm cells successfully fertilize a female egg cell. No menstruation (amenorrhoea) can be one of the presumptive symptoms of pregnancy, the appearance indicates the possibility of pregnancy. However, amenorrhoea can only be relied upon as a presumptive symptom of pregnancy in women with regular menstrual cycles. There are several other presumptive symptoms that indicate the possibility of pregnancy, including:
Nausea and vomiting Changes in the breasts (enlarged, discolored, outgoing colostrum) Changes in the skin (stretch marks, blackish lines in the abdomen, visible dilation of the skin capillaries) Changes in the urinary tract (more urination, as well at night ) In order to be able to ascertain whether pregnancy occurs, you are advised to check directly with your doctor, midwife, or obstetrician and gynecologist. The doctor will conduct an history. physical examination, and supporting examination (if found indications, for example: ultrasound examination [USG]) to identify definite signs of pregnancy, including:
Identification of the gestational sac, embryo, or fetus on ultrasound examination The presence of fetal heart beats on Doppler ultrasound examination (starting at week 10) or Laenec fetoscope aids (starting at week 18-20) Fetal exposure on physical examination (starting week-to-week) 22) Test pack is one method of antenatal care that works by detecting the presence of the hormone B-hCG (beta human chorionic gonadotropin) in the urine. The hormone is released by the embryo when the fertilization of the egg by sperm cells attaches to the uterine wall, which usually occurs on the 6-8 days after fertilization. Examination with a test pack is recommended 1 week after menstruation is late from the schedule.
False positive results can be found in non-pregnant conditions because the specificity of the device is not 100%. Some possible conditions that give rise to false positive test pack results include:
Readings that take longer than they should (generally test results are read within 5 minutes) Chemical pregnancy (fertilization does work, but miscarriages early) Ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy where the embryo attaches outside the uterus, for example in the ovaries and canals uterus) Miscarriage (hCG hormone can still be detected if a miscarriage has not occurred for a long time) Effects of drugs (for example: being in a pregnancy planning program and getting an injection containing the hormone hCG) Test kits are outdated As a suggestion at home, you are advised to take a rest enough, eat a balanced nutritious food, and drink water at least 8 glasses a day.
