Hello. Thank you for the question submitted to HealthReplies.com. We can understand the concern you feel.
The World Health Organization (WHO) in 2015 published the results of a meta-analysis and systematic review of various studies on the diagnostic accuracy of the rapid HBsAg test. WHO reports that the pooled clinical sensitivity of the rapid HBsAg test is 90.0% (confidence interval [IK] 95%: 89.1-90.8), and the pooled clinical sensitivity is 99.5% (95% IK: 99 , 4-99.5) compared with the examination of immunoasay in the laboratory which is a standard reference. The results of this meta-analysis and systematic review showed that the rapid HBsAg test, whether using blood serum / plasma samples or capillary blood, had good sensitivity and good specificity compared to the standard reference.
However, we recommend that you continue to consult directly with your doctor or internist regarding the results of a rapid HBsAg test that has been done. The examination is a supplementary examination whose interpretation must be based on the patient's clinical information, obtained through history taking and physical examination by the doctor who handles the patient directly.
Thus information from us. Hopefully always healthy. May be useful.
