The Area Around The Chest Is Belted When Moving The Body To The Left Or Right?
What is called when moving the body to the left and right repeatedly, in the chest area there is a sound like rubbing sand. Is it dangerous? Explanation please.
Hello good afternoon Desy.
There is no specific name for the condition you are experiencing, but the sound that is heard in the chest when moving the body can be a sound made by the joints in the sternum, although the sound produced is usually more of a "clicking" sound. If you previously suffered an injury to the sternum, causing abnormalities in the sternum and joints, then this could also be the cause. The friction between your clothes and your body might also cause you to assume that the sound is coming from your chest.
We cannot conclude whether your condition is dangerous or not without conducting a direct examination and knowing the cause of your complaint. However, as long as this doesn't bother you too much (doesn't cause pain, limited movement, etc.) then you shouldn't worry too much. If this complaint continues to annoy and creates a prolonged concern, then we recommend that you do an examination directly to the doctor.
That's all, hope it helps.
Greetings, dr. Denisa
