Good afternoon, thanks for the question
Complaints that are felt include low fever, sneezing, coughing, sore throat, runny nose, joint and body pain, headaches, weakness of the body most commonly caused by influenza.
Influenza or often known as flu is an infectious disease caused by RNA viruses namely influenza viruses A, B and less frequently C. Influenza viruses continue to change, so that in some time can cause an outbreak. This virus attacks the upper airways and lungs.
Influenza risk factors include:
1. Decreased endurance
2. Residential density and high population density
3. Season / weather changes
4. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
5. Old age
The diagnosis of influenza is based on typical symptoms and physical examination. Treatment of influenza is generally drug-free (self-limited disease). What needs to be improved is endurance. Measures to ease flu symptoms are taking 2-3 days of rest, reducing excessive physical activity, increasing the nutrition of foods with high-calorie and high-protein foods, and fruits that are high in vitamins. Therapy aims only to reduce symptoms, such as fever relief, cough suppressants, anti-allergic, or to relieve nasal congestion.
The spread of this disease is through the air so that the home environment must meet the requirements of a healthy home, especially the size of the window for lighting and ventilation as well as residential density. To prevent the spread of the people closest to you should also be given education to break the chain of transmission such as with the correct ethics of coughing and wearing masks. To prevent recurrent infections, influenza immunization can be considered especially in people with high risk.
That's all, hope you can help
