The Body Temperature Of A 3 Month Old Baby Is 37.9 Degrees Celsius, Is It Normal?
late I want to ask .. if the temperature of the baby aged 3 months body temperature y 37.9 is still the normal limit ..
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Basically, normal body temperature can vary in range based on the place of measurement (whether measured in the mouth, armpits, rectum), the thermometer used, and the measurement conditions. In general, children are said to have a fever when the body temperature rises to more than 37.5 degrees Celsius (if measured by the temperature of the rectum, then it is said to have a fever when the temperature is more than 38 degrees Celsius).
If your child's temperature reaches 37.9 degrees Celsius, then your child can be said to have a fever. However, if your child does not show certain symptoms (do not feel uncomfortable because of the fever), then there is nothing you need to do. Giving heat-lowering drugs are also not needed. It is best to re-observe your child, if the temperature rises to more than 38 degrees Celsius and the child experiences certain symptoms that are disturbing, you can give a fever-lowering medication such as paracetamol.
Some things you can do:
avoid wearing clothes that are too thick and too layered on children
if the child looks cold, cover the child with a thin blanket
compress the child with an ordinary compress (do not use cold water, do not use alcohol)
bathe the child by soaking in warm water and wet his body with a bath sponge
If you see alarming signs (for example the child looks weak, sleep continuously and difficult to wake up, the child looks crowded), do not want to drink milk until the urine and bowel movements are reduced, immediately take it to the pediatrician for further evaluation.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
