The Bruises On The Leg Never Disappear After The Accident?
evening, I want to ask. almost 2 weeks ago I was hit by a car and my foot was bruised on the top of my ankle. I have treated and let it stand until now, the bruises do not disappear and the upper part of the ankle is invulnerable and tasteless and still hurts. Can this be something serious? thank you
Hello, thanks for the question.
Injury or trauma can cause tissue damage, such as skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments, to bones. Tissue damage depends on the severity of trauma / injury that can occur, can only be a bruise due to muscle and skin damage, or injury to the tendon / ligament that affects movement, or damage to the bone in the form of a shift or dislocation, broken, or to cause disruption in innervation which is marked by reduced sensation of touch in the skin. Therefore, if after a few weeks the complaint does not improve you should consult a doctor, but you should immediately do a doctor's examination after the injury / trauma, the doctor will conduct a direct examination on the patient and assess the severity of the injury, if the injury is suspected to be severe, the doctor may will suggest additional examinations, such as X-ray examinations and other examinations as needed so that the handling can be more precise. To help reduce complaints can be done by:
Cold compresses on painful areas Wrap the bruised area with an elastic bandage Position the legs higher than the heart, especially when sleeping to help reduce swelling Get enough rest Reduce excessive physical activity especially on injured feet Eat healthy and nutritious food Suffice the need for fluids Thus, hopefully help.
