The Bumps On The Hands And Peeling Skin?
At night, I want to ask my baby is only 2 weeks old in the hand and the body starts to appear bumps “red and old” skin like peeling, why is that? Irritation from bath soap or other factors?
Hello, thank you for asking with HealthReplies.com.
Skin in children or babies is more sensitive when compared to adult skin. The emergence of bumps, reddish rash, in infants can be caused by various things, including:
- Eczema / atopic dermatitis. This condition causes the baby's skin to become itchy, dry, red, and cracked. Eczema is usually caused by sensitive skin or allergies. This can happen if the baby is allergic to certain products / substances / ingredients. Then you should avoid using products / substances that can cause allergies in your baby.
- Urticaria / Urticaria. This condition is characterized by reddish bumps or itchy rashes on the skin that appear as an allergic reaction to certain objects or substances such as food, drugs, stinging nettles, bees, and cold or hot temperatures.
- Prickly heat. Generally appear when the weather feels hot and humid, and the baby is dressed too thick. This condition can cause mild swelling, itching in infants.
- and others..
Here are things you can do at home to deal with complaints: avoid babies from extreme temperatures, avoid babies from products / substances that can trigger allergies in your baby, keep the baby's body clean and dry well after bathing, avoid using clothes that are too thick or too tight on the baby, keep a comfortable room temperature for your baby, change baby's clothes and diapers regularly, routinely wash baby clothes, and provide enough nutrition for the baby.
If the complaint does not improve, you should consult directly with your doctor. The doctor will conduct interviews and several examinations to help diagnose and provide therapies that are appropriate for your child's condition.
Thank you, hope that helps ..
