The Cause Can Not Feel Happy Or Sad?
Hello, I seem to have been depressed from childhood (a bit too much hahaha) I managed to fight back in 2018 but this year came back again because I lost everything and this time the depression was worse than before. I have difficulty explaining my feelings now it feels like living in a dream / drowning. I can’t feel anything like happiness / sadness .. and every day in the uncertain time I feel attacked / attacked. I don’t know what to do, I don’t have friends and my family doesn’t seem to care either. I tried to commit suicide but failed because I was afraid of pain. Am I normal ???
Hello Leovan, Thank you for the question.
Mental health is one condition that cannot be separated from oneself and mental health conditions play a role in determining one's overall health. Therefore, if you have a complaint related to mental health, do not hesitate to look for the right help so that this condition can be overcome and you can carry out your daily activities.
Depression is a mood disorder that causes sufferers to feel prolonged sadness. This condition can cause changes in behavior and affect social relationships with people around him. These symptoms of prolonged sadness can be accompanied by complaints of not feeling valuable, anxious, hopeless, no longer interested in things that were once interesting, the desire to commit suicide, fatigue, difficulty sleeping, changes in appetite and weight, difficulty concentrating , dizziness, pain in certain parts of the body that are not caused by obvious causes, and decreased sexual desire. Apart from depression, there are also other causes such as personality disorders (for example threshold personality disorder), bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders.
If you already have the desire to even try to kill yourself, of course this condition must be wary of. You also can not do independent handling at home with these conditions. Therefore, you should immediately consult a mental specialist / psychiatrist further. Your doctor needs to ask you a number of questions to better understand your condition before providing treatment that is appropriate for you, which can be psychological therapy and medication.
Although it's not easy, you can try the following suggestions:
get enough rest
continue to adopt healthy lifestyles such as eating nutritious food, adequate consumption of water, avoiding smoking habits, and avoiding the habit of consuming alcoholic beverages
doing activities that can bring positive emotions such as exercising regularly, following activities related to your hobby
follow yoga or meditation
Hopefully this information helps you.
