Hello, I want to ask. before I had never had a nosebleed, then one more time cleaning my nose suddenly had blood spots on my fingers. it’s not much and it’s only 2x in the beginning. a few months later the same incident. I tried asking the doctor right away, but it was said to be corrected even though it didn’t do anything at all. after that my nose became sensitive, clean my nose even though I also had a nosebleed. in 1 month it’s been 7x. the longer the more blood comes out. even today, I’m outside. suddenly from a nosebleed right nose. even though I’m in a fit condition, I get enough sleep and exercise. Do things like this count as normal? or is there something wrong with my body? thank you

Hi raprilliya,

Thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.

It is true, excessive scraping or rubbing the nose can cause injury to the nasal cavity that causes you to bleed. This condition often appears unconsciously by sufferers because it is part of the movement that is done reflexively. It could also, nosebleeds occur when you blow your nose too hard. Nosebleeds that occur due to these causes are often not dangerous conditions so they do not require special treatment.

However, if you feel that your nosebleeds are repeated very often without a specific trigger, you need to be aware of other possible causes, for example:

Exposure to hot or windy environmental conditions Disorders of the nasal cavity, for example: Sinusitis (inflammation of the sinus cavity) Nasal polyps (benign tumors originating from the nasal mucosa) Deviation of the nasal septum (abnormal tilt of the nasal cavity) Cancer of the nasal cavity or throat Head injury or injury nasal side effects of drugs, such as aspirin, heparin Blood clotting disorders, for example due to ITP (idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura), leukemia (blood cancer), vitamin K deficiency, spinal cord disorders, hemophilia, other blood clotting deficiency Frequently, nosebleeds that are worth watching out for dangerous is if it appears accompanied by the following signs:

Nosebleeds recur very often Nosebleeds do not stop by themselves in 15 minutes Nosebleeds appear with other signs of bleeding, such as bruising, bleeding gums, bloody bowel movements Nosebleeds appear with severe headaches, blurry vision, nausea, vomiting Nosebleeds are preceded by a history of head or nose injuries. that you experience, it never hurts you to check yourself directly to a doctor or ENT specialist huh .. Through a comprehensive examination, including also involving blood tests, rhinoscopy, nasal endoscopy, x-rays, CT scans, etc., doctors generally can determine, whether your condition is still considered normal, or dangerous.

In the meantime, so that your complaint doesn't always go on, here are our suggestions:

Limit it first to be in an environment that is too hot, air-conditioned or fan Do not scrape, rub your nose excessively Do not also blow your nose too hard If you have an infection or allergic airway, consult a doctor immediately Eat healthy and nutritious foods, especially those that contain lots of vitamins K Get plenty of rest and live a healthy lifestyle.
