The Cause Is Still Wet At The Age Of 16 Years?
Hello, my son is 16 years old, so he is from class 1-6 until he wet the bed every day, until 7, it’s rarely been a week. every night why are you thank you ..
Hello Adinda, thank you for asking HealthReplies.com.
Let me introduce myself, Dr. Rio will try to answer your questions.
Enuresis is a bed-wetting habit that occurs during sleep. Conditions can occur in children or in adulthood. This condition is often experienced by children under the age of 5 years, and with age the habit will disappear. But in some cases this habit does not disappear.
There are two types of enuresis, namely primary and secondary. Where in primary enuresis bedwetting at the age of the baby, nocturnal enuresis, which is the most common type of enuresis. Whereas secondary enuresis is enuresis that occurs in people who have previously been able to control their enuresis.
In children the cause of enuresis is not known with certainty but usually occurs because the child does not wake up when the bladder is full of urine. In adults it usually occurs because the kidneys produce more urine than usual. This is based on two things: the body produces less ADH (Antidiuretic Hormone) which is a hormone that controls urine production, and the second is the kidney does not respond to stimuli from ADH.
Other conditions that can affect the incidence of bedwetting are small bladder, bladder muscles are overactive and squeezing the bladder at the wrong time, constipation, stress, genetic factors, etc.
If the enuresis condition continues and is disturbing, then you should consult a urologist for further examination and treatment.
Right now what you can do is:
Give a layer to your child's mattress, if there is excessive bedwetting so it doesn't get wet. Urinating before going to sleep will empty the contents of the bladder. Do not drink excessively at night, avoid caffeine, chocolate at night. Wake up your child at night to kecing. That's all the answers I give, hopefully I answer.
Thank you :)
