The Cause Of A Stroke Patient’s Feet Is Redness And Discharge And Swelling?
I want to ask .. my mother is having a stroke. This is the second stroke … lately her legs are swollen and around her feet are reddish and the fluid coming out of her feet … what’s the cause?
Hello Hana, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Complaints experienced by your mother at this time, could be caused by several possible conditions such as:
Impaired blood flow to the legs
Impaired lymph flow in the legs
Chronic kidney failure
Sores on the legs
Lack of protein in the body
To ascertain which conditions are experienced by your mother, it is highly recommended to check your mother's condition further to a specialist in internal medicine, and tell the entire history of illness and treatment that is currently being undertaken by your mother. Your mother's doctor may suggest doing some additional tests such as blood tests or other tests to determine the cause of your mother's complaints at this time. After being confirmed, then it can be determined how the therapy should be given to your mother.
For now, keep consuming routine stroke medications given by your mother's doctor and do routine control or other routine therapy in addition to medication as recommended. It is not recommended to consume / use any medicines without clear doctor's advice.
It is also recommended to ensure that your mother moves her entire body and limbs every day. If you can't move it yourself, it can be helped by others to move it.
Take care of the cleanliness of your mother's body, especially in the area of the feet that have complaints. If you see a clear wound on your mother's foot that causes discharge, clean the wound every day with a clean gauze cloth and cover with a sterile gauze cloth, then immediately consult your mother to the doctor.
I hope this helps.
