Hello Dwi Rumi,
Pain during sexual intercourse or dyspareunia can occur due to the following factors:
Lack of lubrication / vaginal lubrication
Infection in the vagina that causes inflammation
Vaginismus or excessive vaginal contractions that arise due to fear
Diseases of the reproductive organs such as uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, and so on
Vaginal irritation by condoms, synthetic lubricants
Lack of sexual desire
Pain in dyspareunia can occur only at the beginning of penetration or even at each penetration. Another symptom that is felt is a burning sensation like burning, pain, throbbing pain that lasts for hours after having sex. Spotting / spotting accompanying dyspareunia is also common.
Dispareunia can certainly disrupt your relationship with a partner because it causes discomfort and even fear of having sexual relations. Therefore you should consult further with an obstetrician. The doctor must do a direct examination to determine the cause of dyspareunia that you experience. Treatment will be given according to the cause, for example if a bacterial infection is found, antibiotics will be given.
Handling can also be done with psychological therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy to change negative thought patterns and behaviors, or counseling to improve relationships with partners. If the cause is less lubricating then you can use a special artificial lubricant product, to facilitate penetration and reduce pain during penetration.
Some of the following tips you might be able to practice to reduce dyspareunia complaints:
Prolong the duration of foreplay
Good communication with a partner
Using positions that make you comfortable during intercourse
Use special lubricants to help penetration
Thus the explanation from me, hopefully useful.
