Hello Cello,
Thank you for your question on HealthReplies.com.
Shortness of breath and chest feels heavy, in general, can be caused by disorders of the body's organs, including lung, heart or stomach disorders.
Shortness of breath caused by the lungs, usually accompanied by phlegm or dry cough, fever above 37.5, shortness of breath and sometimes accompanied by sound during breathing. As for shortness of breath caused by the heart, accompanied by pain in the left chest and pain radiating to the left neck and left arm. Usually people who have a history of high cholesterol can cause symptoms like this
If the tightness is caused by the stomach, it will be characterized by tightness of the chest, lower chest, or middle upper abdomen, accompanied by pain in the left upper abdomen. Sometimes also accompanied by dry cough and sore throat
Based on what you have submitted, the complaint that you have is indeed leading to congestion due to the stomach. When stomach acid increases it will cause pressure on the esophagus barrier so that it will cause tightness and pain. Treatment slowly requires treatment for 6 weeks, therefore if you consume stomach medicine, you should take the drug for up to 6 weeks.
