The Cause Of Chlamydia Is Vulnerable In Women Aged 20 Years?
good evening doctor, I want to ask about chlamydia. why women under the age of 20 are more susceptible to this disease?
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted infection. The risk of getting chlamydia is higher if a person (woman or man of any age) has unprotected sexual intercourse (intercourse with a partner and does not use a condom). Research shows that the rate of occurrence of chlamydia in women is highest at the age of 20-24 years, afterwards only followed by women aged 15-19 years.
To avoid this infection, you are advised to have safe sex. Do not change sexual partners, or always use condoms when having sexual intercourse. You also need to know that having unprotected sexual relations increases your risk of getting other sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV, hepatitis B, syphilis, gonorrhea, herpes, HPV, and so on.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
